The Travel & Expedition Program

Field-led photographic journeys to the world's most luminous places, small cohorts, master guides, and itineraries built around the light.

§ Introduction

Our Travels are field-led photographic journeys to the world's most luminous places. Each itinerary is plotted against the sun path, golden-hour angles, moonrise and tidal charts of its location, so we arrive where the light will be — not where it already is.

Cohorts never exceed eight photographers. Every day closes with a structured critique of the frames you made that morning, led by a working master, not a tour guide. The lesson lands while the memory of the light is still fresh.

This is travel as a sacred intersection of technical mastery and soulful discovery — composed the way a master composes a frame.

Expeditions are distinct from our Travels. Where a Travel is a focused field study, an Expedition is an epic photographic journey — challenging for body and soul — around the most extraordinary places on Earth. They are far longer, far more formative, and stand as something unique in a lifetime: a passage rather than a trip, measured in the frames and the person you become by the end of it.

THE BATTLE ISLAND

For eight days, we shall drift through Hashima, a stone leviathan shipwrecked in the immensity of the sea. Where thousands once breathed, only salt now inhabits the rooms, and the wind recites its elegy through eyeless windows. To photograph these ruins is to gather the ashes of modernity before the ocean erases its final dream. existed, now returned to silence and salt.

EASTWARD, UNTIL THE WORLD CHANGES ALPHABET

€12.000

From the waterways of St Petersburg to the immense silence of Mongolia, and onward to the incandescent density of Beijing, this thirty-day photographic expedition crosses some 8,100 kilometres of railway, three countries and seven time zones. Guided by Luca Monti, eight photographers will travel not to collect places, but to pass through them—attentively, patiently, allowing each landscape to alter the eye. Nights in sleeping compartments, unhurried stops and rigorous reviews form the rhythm of a journey devoted to water, ideology, scale, emptiness and density. NOTOP|A passage across continents; an inquiry into distance; a search for the image that appears when the familiar world falls away. Do not collect places. Pass through them. The expedition alternates nights in sleeping compartments, unhurried stops, and rigorous reviews. TASK|Each stage carries a visual task: - water in St Petersburg - ideology in Yekaterinburg - scale in Siberia - emptiness in Mongolia - density in Beijing
